This comes after they had already imposed a ₹5.5 lakh penalty earlier, allegedly over her efforts to feed and care for stray dogs within the premises.
This is more than a dispute — it’s a clear attack on kindness.

Penalizing Empathy is Not Maintenance
The activist has reportedly been caring for strays in a compassionate and responsible manner, as per the guidelines set by the Animal Welfare Board of India. Feeding stray animals is not illegal, and in fact, legally protected under Indian law. Time and again, the courts have reinforced that RWAs (Resident Welfare Associations) cannot prohibit or penalize such activities when done in a peaceful and hygienic way.
